Annie Duncan has nearly 20 years of legal experience in a wide range of civil litigation. Annie’s areas of legal practice consist of insurance defense, business litigation, personal injury, medical malpractice, property disputes, domestic issues, and product liability. Annie also has experience with federal multi-district litigation cases concerning hip and mesh implant products and vaccine injury cases before the United States Court of Federal Claims.
Annie primarily specializes in legal research and writing which demands the analysis of technical fact patterns and complex legal issues in order to present compelling legal arguments in court motions, memoranda, and briefs. She is adept at crafting persuasive arguments that have proven successful in trial courts, the Tennessee Court of Appeals, the Tennessee Supreme Court, and United States District Courts for both defendants and plaintiffs. Annie has also had the pleasure to argue before the Tennessee Court of Appeals and the Tennessee Supreme Court on numerous occasions.
Annie was born and raised in Oak Ridge, Tennessee. After graduating from Oak Ridge High School, she attended The University of Tennessee at Knoxville. Annie later attended the Nashville School of Law where she was selected to receive the Faculty and Trustee Scholarship for the years 1998-1999 and 1999-2000. She was also selected to be the graduation speaker for the law school Class of 2000. Annie moved back to the Knoxville area shortly after graduating from law school and began practicing law in the fall of 2000.
Currently Annie lives in Knoxville with her husband Jeremy, their daughter Drew, and their son John.
